I have had some pretty good success at the few companies I have been at. And, I attribute most of this success to having a fundamental knowledge of Lean Manufacturing. Most of these tools, definitions, and theories are contained in this guide. It will give you a better understanding of Lean, along with examples of things you can do. But, in no way, do I guarantee how much savings you will have, or how much your production will increase. Results can, and will, vary depending on the person implementing the lean, the manager of this person, the corporate atmosphere, and the actual product you are making.

So, although I have managed to implement a project to save $125,000 - $200,000 yearly, have 5S'd an entire plant (including the inspections and audit program), and also managed to reduce inventory level on subassemblies from $800,000 to $60,000 in less than 1 year, while still maintaing production and on time shipments of over 99%, I can not 100% guarantee this will be you. But, the information contained in this guide is a definite step in the right direction.
