En este libro he encontrado material complementario para mi nivel actual de conocimiento sobre el tema de LSS. Es sencillo para leer y seguir. Muy bien estructurado.

The roadmap proposed by this book is easy to follow and gives you a good integration between lean and six sigma. One other thing that I like is that it’s very graphical to help people that are starting with this journey. This is a good reference for Champions and Belts that have been involved in six sigma for some time and are looking on how to integrate lean. It is also a nice place to start for Belts that are just starting their first LSS projects; put attention to the “Performance Pitfall” and “Lean Six Sigma Wisdom” boxes, these are good things to keep in mind.

“The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Lean Six Sigma (CIGTLSS) is an easy reading guide for those who are new to Lean Six Sigma, as well as for those who have been practicing Continuous Improvement methods for years. The straightforward approach to what some consider complex tools and methods is refreshing. The graphics make it easy to understand the concepts, and the examples further drive the points. The “Least You Need to Know” feature at the end of each chapter assures that you have grasped the essential topics. Highly recommended for all of those interested in applying Lean Six Sigma to their business. ”

“The Complete Idiots Guide to Lean Six Sigma is a valuable and concise reference for those practitioners currently involved in, or about to become involved in, a LSS deployment or project. It walks the reader through the five phases of the DMAIC methodology introducing and explaining activities and deliverables for each phase, the tools appropriate for each phase, and examples to help clarify and cement the important concepts associated with each phase. In addition to the information provided on the actual methodology, there are sections that discuss the Change Management activities necessary to support the LSS initiatives. All in all it is a book that should be read and reread by team leaders, their supporting management, team members, extended team members, and anyone who needs to become knowledgeable and conversant in the Lean Six Sigma methodology. ”

I have seen many efforts to “combine” the Lean and Six Sigma Methodologies. Most have proven to be a bit clumsy. This book does an excellent job of considering Lean and SS as simply two sides of the same coin. NOT two different methods compressed together, but a seemless integration of using the correct tool at the correct time, while giving consideration to the overall philosophy of continuous improvement.
